We're a small operation — for now, that means one human reading every message. We aim to respond within 24 hours.
Double-check the phone number you entered (with country code, e.g. +61). If the SMS hasn't arrived in 60 seconds, tap "Resend." If it still doesn't come through, your phone number may be a virtual number or have SMS routing issues — email us with the number and we'll investigate.
Make sure you've granted Dibsy photo access (in iOS Settings → Dibsy → Photos). Items on our prohibited list — paint, batteries, gas bottles, weapons, animals, mattresses with damage, items with refrigerant — can't be listed. The full list is in our Terms of Service.
Tap Report on the listing or in the chat. We respond to safety reports within 2 hours and Tier 1 prohibited-item reports within 24 hours. You can also Block a user from your Profile — they'll disappear from the map and can't message you.
From inside the app: Profile → Delete my account. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, listings, dibs, messages, photos, push tokens, and reviews.
Set up a saved search from the Profile tab. Pick a query (e.g. "couch"), a category, and a radius. We'll push you a notification the moment a matching listing goes up.
No. Dibsy is for free giveaways only. Asking for money, donations, or "thank you" gifts in exchange for an item is against our Terms of Service and may result in your account being suspended.
